Here I am! In Manchester! I am one of the Permians. IT IS SO GREAT TO BE HERE!!! Thank you, University! Thank you, charismatic Caroline for your help and you lessons!
It is not a dream!!! Here I'm in Manchester!!! Cool!!! My first impression is HOW the ground smells! Fresh, spring, forest, wet, life after all!! In Perm all is frozen and here all is different. want to go out, walk and feel it, feel it...
Our stereotypes are constantly breaking. First, we were told that England is a small country, there isn't much forest but... it is not so. When we were flying (what experience!) we saw much of it. Secondly, they said that Englishmen (and women, of course :)) are very calm and reserved people. But... they are SO emotional!!! It is great, brilliant, magestic!!! I'm happy to be here and to wait for breaking of another stereotype.
Though absolutely exhausted, i was VERY excited with the city and particularly delighted to see trees in bloom on the streets. Quite a change afer Perm which is still in depths of winter.
It's great here in Manchester! The best thing is the weather. And nature... everithing is blooming, or starting to bloom. It's wonderful! The walk about the city was absolutely wonderful, though I didn't manage to take off my shoes for 48 hours and my feet were aching all over. All the same, I've survived. Thank you very much for your care, for being so patient with us, for being so helpful.Thank you very-very much!
Good morning! Glad to meet you and thank you for your hospitality and advice. You've been so helpful to recommend us places to visit. We enjoyed your Platt Fields Park with its lake, trees in blossom, daffodils and a lovely squirell greatly.Everything was just breathtaking! This year we'll have two Mays in Manchester now and in Perm later. Philip, thank you very much for your nice and informative walk and your attention.
I am in sunny Manchizzle! Hope the weather will be nice for 10 more days. Hope we'll find some nice and healthy places to eat here.I'm really surprized all emotional Manchester people and their intonation!
Yes, we enjoyed much wandering and wandering around the city. Unfortunately, I've missed half of the information that Phil gave to us about the centre, history, etc. because we were trying to take as many pictures as we could. untill my memory card wasn't full, I didn't stop. It happened because I was fascinated by the place. Then we visited Pizza Hut and enjoyed the meals. Then we've been lost. we didn'have an idea what number bus we should take and were going along lost and exhausted... but we continue laughing and making fun That was the longest and the most impressive day of my being in Manchester. But may be today we'll have more impressive day! I hope.
Goodmorning! How is it going? yesterday we were doing shopping. We visited Manchester United and Primark. And again about stereotypes... One of the stereotypes is not breaking. The politeness of The English. We asked so many people how to get here and there and they explained us very politely. Fine!
